The Acupuncture For Childbirth Team (ACT)

is a group of traditional acupuncture practitioners who have been working in the Buckinghamshire area for many years. We share a particular interest in the use of traditional acupuncture for fertility, in pregnancy, labour and post-natal. Our aim is to promote the use and to increase the availability of traditional acupuncture prior to conception, during pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period.

All ACT practitioners are members of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and are familiar with the Buckinghamshire labour and maternity facilities.

The purpose of this website is three-fold:

• To help couples in their search for traditional acupuncture services to support them with fertility, pregnancy, labour and post-natal care
• To help practitioners from other disciplines quickly identify the traditional acupuncture services that they can refer their clients to, should the need arise
• To help midwives and other maternity healthcare professionals gain a better understanding of the specialist traditional acupuncture services and capabilities within Buckinghamshire.
